This Privacy Policy describes how Waddle ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, processes, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and our associated web services (collectively, the "Service").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Waddle is a social fitness application designed to let you compare step counts and activity with your selected friends.


1. Information We Collect

A. Health & Activity Data (Health Connect)

To provide the core functionality of the Service (comparing steps with friends), Waddle requests permission to access your activity data from Google Health Connect: * Steps Data: We read your daily step counts and intraday step records (e.g., granular breakdown of steps throughout the day). * Waddle requires access to read Health Connect data both in the foreground (when the App is open) and in the background (via periodic workers) to ensure your step comparison is kept up to date for your friends.

B. Account and Profile Data

When you sign in or register with Waddle, we collect: * Account Information: If you sign in using Google Sign-In or email, we receive your email address, user ID, and auth tokens. * Profile Information: You may set a nickname and a profile picture that will be visible to your invited friends. * Friend Connections: We store information about which users you have established friendships with in order to sync and display shared step statistics.

C. Technical and Network Data

We collect standard logs when communicating with our backend server: * IP address, device operating system version, app version, network request metadata, and sync status logs.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following specific purposes: * Core Functionality: To read step data from Health Connect on your device, upload it to our secure backend database, and display it to your connected friends on the step comparison scoreboard. * Background Syncing: To periodically refresh step data in the background so your step score is up to date when friends view the App. * Account Verification: To authenticate your access and secure your profile.

We do NOT sell, lease, rent, or trade your personal or health data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties.

4. User Control & Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data: * Revoking Permissions: You can revoke Waddle's access to Health Connect at any time via your device's system settings (Settings -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Health Connect -> Waddle). * Account and Data Deletion: You can request the complete deletion of your account and all associated daily/intraday step history. To request deletion, please contact us at contact@vizeer.dev or initiate deletion inside the App settings. Once requested, your data will be permanently purged from our active databases.


5. Compliance with Health Connect Permissions Policy

Waddle's use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements: * We only request access to permissions necessary to implement Waddle's step-comparison features. * We do not use or transfer Health Connect data for serving ads, building user profiles for marketing, or tracking behavior across other apps.


6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have accidentally collected data from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.
